Welcome to the Psalm 7 Hub — your complete faith and wellness resource for one of the boldest prayers of innocence and vindication in all of Scripture.

Written by David in response to the false accusations of Cush the Benjamite — likely a member of King Saul’s entourage — Psalm 7 is the prayer of a man who has been lied about, hunted, and misrepresented. David, who twice had the opportunity to kill Saul and refused both times, could not understand why Saul believed the lies. Yet rather than defend himself with words or weapons, David did something extraordinary: he brought his case before the Judge of all the earth.

‘Lord, if I have done wrong, don’t stop them. But if not — arise and judge.’ It is a bold, faith-filled prayer that trusts God’s righteousness more than any human court. And it ends not in bitterness but in worship — ‘I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.’

Psalm 7 also opens a window into one of the most misunderstood aspects of God’s character: His righteous judgment and wrath against sin. Not the wrath of a cruel tyrant, but the wrath of a God who loves people so deeply that He sent His own Son — and says to every soul, ‘The only way you get to hell is over My dead body.’
